Are women less likely to drink beer because it’s not “light” enough? It seems like there’s a surplus of light beers on the market already reaching lower calorie counts, and I’m sure the Ladies of Craft Beer will disagree bout how beer should taste…

Today in moderately offensive beer news…
Molson Coors, the Carling brewer, will reveal a new beer for women today called Animee, according to media reports this weekend…Animee, from the French word for motivated, is billed as “bloat-resistant” - less gassy and lighter tasting than most beers. The company spent two-and-a-half years developing the beer at a cost of £1m.
It’s also being billed as “a real alternative to white wine and champagne.” You know, stuff that girls drink.
