Fill this glass with a Guinness, and reveal a hidden QR code (go ahead and try it now)!
An ad agency has helped Guinness develop a beer glass which shows a QR when it’s filled with their Draught Stout.  Of corse the QR codes might work with some other darker beers as well, but I thought it was a clever hack that takes advantage of the uniquely dark, opaque color of a Guinness on draft…

I submitted Brew Noob’s profile as part of Pepsi’s “Internet Taste Test”, and this is how their improv actor interpreted my love of “tasty beverages” and over-tweeting tendencies…

“Simpsons did it!” but is it still a parody when the show’s ads are more creative than the macro-brews they lampoon?

why aren’t real #beer companies creative like this??

Are women less likely to drink beer because it’s not “light” enough?  It seems like there’s a surplus of light beers on the market already reaching lower calorie counts, and I’m sure the Ladies of Craft Beer will disagree bout how beer should taste…

Today in moderately offensive beer news…
Molson Coors, the Carling brewer, will reveal a new beer for women today called Animee, according to media reports this weekend…
Animee, from the French word for motivated, is billed as “bloat-resistant” - less gassy and lighter tasting than most beers. The company spent two-and-a-half years developing the beer at a cost of £1m.

It’s also being billed as “a real alternative to white wine and champagne.” You know, stuff that girls drink.

Since I started drinking at 30 it’s been Jameson on the rocks, though the Jameson ad campaigns on the subway have made me think maybe I should switch, since those ads clearly convey that if you drink Jameson you’re an asshole or a corporate tool. Or perhaps I’m being dense and this was the way I was supposed to discover I’m an asshole and a corporate tool.
