@NatGeoSociety brings craft beer brewed in Scandinavia to our nation’s capital, which was inspired by the US craft beer movement . The event will be hosted/curated by Brooklyn Beer brewmaster Garrett Oliver and sponsored by Brickskeller, which is widely celebrated for it’s diverse beer selection in DC by Brew Noobs and Veterans alike.
Erdinger’s FestBier is worth a second inspection. It’s both more spicy and malty than I’d imagine, like a Saison version of the typical Oktoberfest. Like it’s Weissbier counterpart, Erdinger’s Festbier has a sour bite with it’s full-bodied wheat-like taste.

@ThBlackSquirrel sippin’ on a Maudite (The Damned One). It is officially chilly enough for Canadian Ales, gathering hops for winter. Maudite on draft is one hoppy little devil, an ale clearly meant for winter with its amber overtones.
BTW @ThBlacksquirrel is a beer lover’s sanctuary, with a wide variety of tasty brews in a casual atmosphere. They have two house beers, an Amber Bock and a White Ale. The Amber Bock is simple with a slight bite in its aftertaste. The White Ale is a great value at $5 a pint; solid body with a cloudy color which goes great with a lemon wedge.
