Why is that beer jacket a 'koozie' ?
They go by many different names depending on where you grew up, and even have their own Wikipedia entry, but they do the same thing whether for bottles or cans; keeping cold beers cold (and warm hands warm).

How to ship and package beer (safely)
If you’re like me, my family bought me beer as a holiday gift, although without a clear way to get the bottles back home. Or else maybe you miss a favorite local beer from back home, and want to have a case sent to your new home.
You could try to bring the beer back yourself, but barring the 2-liter limit for alcohol packed in your plane flight’s checked luggage, you still risk a broken bottle and stained clothes. Likewise, shipping costs for beer don’t seem cost effective, given the risks of broken bottles and confusing laws about inter-state transport of tasty beer.
I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to ship beer for ages, when I found this guide to the shipping and packaging process on Reddit. Contributors have added peer-writen advice that curates the best possible guide to the beer shipping process I’ve read. I especially appreciate all the notes left in the comments there, which are helpful to all the questions I had. Check out the advice for yourself on the link above…
